NPS Members achievements
Congratulations to our amazing NPS Area 4 members Mr Billy & Joanna Moran at North of England inhand show.
NPS TRAINING DAY
Have a look at our training page where you can enter online for our Amy Smith clinic.
Area 4 is part of the National Pony Society which was formed in 1893:
'...... to encourage the breeding, registration and improvement of Riding Ponies
and Mountain & Moorland ponies and to foster the welfare of Ponies in general'.
These aims still form the core purpose of Area 4, which covers Yorkshire, Cleveland, County Durham, Northumberland and Tyne and Wear. However the Area membership has grown in strength over the years and as a result we now have a thriving competition and social calendar too.
We hold a number of annual events for our members (and none members, but its much more cost effective if you join the NPS!) including training clinics with top show producers and riders, a Spring Show, our prestigious Summer Show, held on August Bank Holiday Monday at the Great Yorkshire Showground, Harrogate and an autumn Foal Show. In addition the Area 4 Ball has become an annual 'not to be missed' fixture and members also look forward to the 'pre-Christmas lunch', which follows our Annual General Meeting, at the Bridge Inn Wetherby, usually on the last Sunday in November each year.
